I am...
In an abusive relationship? Some steps to take are: 1. Establish ownership of your pets 2. Keep a surplus of pet supplies if possible 3. Have the phone number of a 24 hour vet accessible at all times
Planning to flee? Some steps to take are: 1. Keep a go-bag of essential pet food and supplies 2. Try to find someone who can care for your pets while you flee. Beacon of Hope Crisis Center may be able to assist.
Out of the relationship? Some steps you can take are: 1. Change your pet's tag to include only your safe contact information 2. Change veterinarians if necessary 3. Never leave your pets outside alone
