We serve EVERYONE in need of domestic violence and sexual assault services. What Beacon of Hope being a Christ-centered organization means:
Being a Christian agency is demonstrated in that our board is Christ-led. Our victim service delivery model and hiring model is not religiously based. We require fundamental behaviors of kindness, helpfulness, and respectfulness to be modeled always. Ours is a culture of non-judgment. Everyone should feel safe and free from being judged for any reason. We do not preach or push religion onto our clients as our services are not religiously based. We serve ALL individuals and families facing domestic violence and/or sexual assault crises regardless of religion, actual or perceived race, color, sex, age, sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression, marital status, national origin, language capacity, handicap, or disability. All individuals who have a first language other than English and a limited ability to read, speak, write, or understand English are ensured meaningful access to our programs, services, and information that we provide. All our services and programs are free of charge. Anyone with discrimination concerns may bring such complaints to our CEO, our organization does not tolerate discrimination and will not retaliate against any individual for filing a complaint or participating in any lawsuit or witness proceedings regarding such concerns. In addition to our organization being directed by servant leaders; we are very much interested in accommodating ALL individuals, such as individuals who are deaf, are displaced and only speak a foreign language, and those with faith-based religious meal needs unable to be sheltered without compromising their religion, LGBTQIA+, men, and those facing other challenges with diversity, inclusion, and accommodation.
