Prevention Empowerment
Extended Crisis Line coverage, advocates are available from 8:30am-1:00am
The link between domestic violence, child abuse, and pet abuse is strong. We offer prevention education presentations and program services.
When victims break free from the grip of domestic violence or sexual assault, they need assistance to become self-sufficient and independent. We focus on empowering them to live independently and move forward with their lives in a positive direction. We help in many ways, such as financial empowerment and referrals to affordable housing so survivors can transition from shelter. Victim advocates provide donations of necessities and referrals for families to transition into a home. Regardless of the financial situation a victim fled, deciding to leave a dangerous situation most often means starting over with nothing. We help families obtain cleaning supplies, hygiene items, furniture, clothing, food, school supplies, and much more. We are passionate about educating the community to assist with prevention and to help empower survivors. Together we can help prevent revictimization and break the cycle of abuse. |
