Victim Advocates are working hard to save lives and prevent ongoing violence in Indiana every single day. We are assisting victims in central Indiana and throughout the State. We are there to support primary and secondary victims of domestic violence and sexual assault, including pet victims. Family members, friends, and the community often experience the negative impacts of domestic violence.
The most common requests we assist with include filing protective orders, safety planning, legal needs (divorce, custody, and immigration), financial needs, employment readiness, mental and physical healthcare resources and help finding emergency and long-term housing. Each of these services can be a new beginning for a victim and their family. Oftentimes, victims want a protective order so the courts are aware of the risk they face during or after fleeing violence. After that basic level of protection is in place, they are ready to make other steps towards rebuilding their lives. When we work together, we can create a community that does not tolerate domestic violence or sexual assault. Victims need us to combine forces for good to foster peace and healing. Join the movement, save lives, and donate today. |
